This past week/weeekend

I haven't written in about a week, so let's see how much I remember lol.  Last weekend Joe and I went to Holiday world and little bug spent the day with Mamaw & Pop.  Joe and I enjoyed Holiday World, but of course we went on like the hottest day of the year and it was pretty crowded due to Labor Day Weekend.  However, Joe did happen to run into one of his cousins.  I can't remember his name (that's bad, I know).  I do remember that he thought it was Billy, but it ended up being Billy's brother and his wife and kid.  It was pretty random that of ALL the people there he happened to see someone he hadn't seen in quite a while.  So we talked for a bit while we waited in line to ride one of the water slides.  After our day at holiday world we headed back to get little man :)

Sunday was are usual, we went to church.  After church we ate at the Patio with mom, dad, erica, jenna, my aunt peyton, uncle russell and their kids, cameron, madelynn and mallory.  After filling our tummies we headed to the dreadful grocery store (Walmart).  However, Tripp did get some new foods to try which honestly sounded declicious and so far they have been good (since I always try everything he eats, cause I wanna know what it tastes like too).  LOL.  He got tons of new fruits and veggies and also some chicken and herb baby food as well as lasagna.  He has loved having something new :)  However, he still attacks us like he is starving when we have what I call "REAL" people food, haha.  So of course he gets to have the "REAL" people food too!

Labor Day we spent the day with neighbours and friends.  Our neighbourhood had a cookout/game day, which was alot of fun! Joe ended up winning the corn hole tourney we had, so of course you know he thought he was something ;) He won $8 though so I'm not complaining, lol! It was quite chilly on Monday so we were all wearing long sleeve shirts and by the end of the day Tripp was wearing a jacket with a hoodie.  He really enjoyed being outside and playing with all the other kids! It was all in all a good day!

Wednesday night we had a weenie roast.  Aunt Jess, Jenna, and Erica came over to join in on the fun night ;) Nan and Pap also ended up coming for a little bit as well.  It was so funny to watch Tripp as we ate our smores.  He tried attacking Aunt Jess for hers, LOL.  We did give him some bread from the hotdog bun, which seemed to satisfy him :)  It was a beautiful night to sit in the back yard with a warm fire enjoying the company of family :) Would have been nice if ALL of the family could have been there as well!

The rest of the week pretty much went by as any typical day at our house.  Daddy and Mommy went to work, while Tripp Bug spent the day with Nan and Pap.  Then when work ended we picked up Tripp and and spent the rest of the night at home, having dinner and usually huggled up watching a movie :)  This week involved alot of playing, making messes, crawling anywhere and everywhere, huggling, kisses, eating, and even a trip for Tripp to see some chickens and farm animals with Nan and Pap (He was a little farmer that day) oh he looked so cute!

Of course my Bug always looks cute!  We will see what the next few days have in store for our exciting life here in the Hager House!!!

Getting Teeth?!?!

We've had two nights now of not so good sleep.  The night before last little bug woke up at 2:00 a.m. plopped right up and just stared at both Joe and I, like..."Are you going to get up or what?"  He would climb on top of Daddy and hit him in the stomach over and over again trying to get him up to play and then he would climb up on Mommy and pull my ear or hair. LOL  We thought that maybe the going to bed/nap at 7:00 wasn't such a good idea.  So after getting him back to sleep, he was up again at 5 a.m. (both mornings) and ready to have his bottle and go!

Up and going at 5 a.m.

He was a little fussy throughout the night, but nothing to big so we thought it just might be that he had too long of a nap before bed time.  Sure enough last night came along and little man slept no better!  He was up, off and on, and fussy, but still half asleep at the same time. Mommy has come to decide that it must be his teeth!  There is nothing there yet, but he his chomping on his fingers like crazy and ready to chew on anything in his sight.  He had a very low fever last night and this morning (which I've heard is also a sign of teething). So we will see if this little turkey has any teeth anytime soon!  Yesterday and today was back to work for Mommy, and of course Daddy works everyday, so little man was up and ready to spend the day with Nan :)  And off course his Aunts (who spoil him rotten) and his Pap!

Ready to see Nan!

After a long day at work, for both Joe and I, seeing Tripp is always the highlight of our day :)  Yesterday we had a birthday party to attend for one of the neighbour kids, so Tripp got to have some cake and ice cream, which of course he loved.  I think he will be like his Mommy in this area (A sweets lover)!  By the time the party was over, it was about 7:30 and Tripp was once again very sleepy!  Joe and I decided that we were going to keep him up in hopes that he would sleep well last night.  Mommy took him to his room to play with toys to try and keep him wound up for a while, but also to try and wear him down to sleep well.
Checking out the Ball :)
Look what I got Mom!
Loves his toy from Mamaw :)
As I mentioned above, this obviously did not work though.  He slept no better last night!  We will see how long this little adventure/nightmare lasts, haha!  Hopefully we will see some little chompers (as Joe calls them) before too long!  Oh, and I can't forget to mention, that while I was at work today I received a text message from Jessica saying that Tripp got an attitude with her today.  I asked what he did, and she said that he was rolling around on the floor and she was trying to play with him
and he obviously didn't want any part of that because he screamed at her and then pushed her away. LOL!  Oh no, is my little bug going to have an attitude?!?! Surely not, I mean he is such an angel :) Anyhow, after another long day at work,  I am happy to say that we have a 3 day weekend so I definitely look forward to spending some time with my boys!  Tonight we are going to have breakfast for dinner and huggle up and watch a movie.  Ahhh, sounds so great! :)  Let's just hope little man has a better night tonight or at least that these teeth hurry up and do there thing!

Just A Lazy Day

After a long sprawled out and restful night, we woke up this morning to the same smiling face we get to see every morning.  Which is a good thing because this could never become old to us ;) After Daddy got ready and headed out to work, Mommy and Tripp Bug set out for another adventurous day in 'The Hager House'!

Like His Daddy ;)

We started our day by having a bottle and watching some Cat in the Hat and then of course we had to watch Super Readers. (Tripp loves that show)!  After a few cartoons and some breakfast our next step was to head to little man's room so we could pull out every toy we could possibly find and then move on to the next room because he decided he wanted to explore :) (Which I didn't mind so much since I got the house cleaned yesterday, why not mess it up today, lol).  We then moved on to the living room where Mommy folded some clothes while little man went after everything he is not supposed to have.  This would include the entertainment center, the curtains, the computer and the baby monitor that he wants to chew on for some reason (I even moved the thing and he still seemed to find it).  So after attacking Mommy several times and standing up by pulling on Mommy's shirt and whining for about 10 minutes, Tripp had a bottle and took a good nap!  I took this opportunity to get a few things done, because we know that once Little Man is up and going again we can forget cleaning!
After finishing a few things, I go back to little bug's room to check on him and he is sitting in his crib staring at me like...ok Mom you gonna get me out or what?!?

Cutie Pie

Haha..So out of the crib he came and the adventures continued.  Tripp had his apples for lunch which obviously must have been oh so yummy cause he would not quit smiling from the moment I gave him his first bite :)

Him Loves to Eat

And once the Apples were all gone it was swing time to watch some Mickey Mouse!  Which did not last to long because he was ready to explore again :) By 1:30 Tripp had his own lap top to type, climb on, drool on, or do whatever he pleased with. (I had my old lap top from college in the closet and it no longer works). Needless to say it kept him entertained for only a small while.  :) I thought the rubber ducky may have been his favorite toy of the day, but I came to discover in the end that his favorite thing of the day would definitely have had to been pulling his Mommy's hair and laughing about it all at the same time!  So as you have read this was just a lazy day in the hager house, not sure how much laziness went on exactly though, because I'm pretty sure I spent the whole day playing with and chasing down a little turkey who I like to call Little Bug!

Weenie Roast

This morning started with the same ol' routine.  Joe got up and got ready for work, luckily I was off today so I got to spend the day with little man :) As usual he woke up with that same old wonderful smile just as he does every single morning.  It truly is one of the highlights of our day!  He always puts us in a good mood, which is a good thing especially on the mornings when we both have to go to work...blah :(

Smiling that Big Smile :)

After Daddy left for work, Mommy and little man got ready and headed to the Dr. for his appointment.  He has a small cold, but other than that he is healthy as can be, which I am so thankful for!  He weighed in at 19.1 Ibs today.  I can hardly believe that he is already 8 months old.  Seriously where does the time go.  You always hear your parents saying..."The years just fly by." Well I guess I am a parent now so I can officially join that club and say...."The years really do fly by."  My little man will turn 1 in only 4 short months.  I'm pretty sure I will cry on that day, it is just a given :(  Ok enough of the rambling on haha.  After little man's appointment we went to Hobby Lobby and did a little shopping and thought about meeting Daddy for lunch, but then decided we didn't want to wait around that long so we drove back home and Mommy tried to clean while little stinker drug out every toy he could find and unfolded all the clothes that Mommy worked so hard to fold. (Ok, so I probably didn't work that hard, but still, lol).  Needless to say I have found that it is much easier to just sit in the floor and play with the little bug instead of trying to get all the house work done while he is awake!

Making Messes!

After a long day of cleaning and playing and wearing ourselves down, little bug and I decided that we wanted to have a weenie roast tonight, so we called up Daddy and asked if he would stop and get all the necessary items needed in order to make it happen.  So after Daddy got off work he stopped by the store and got some hot dogs and started the fire.  Tonight really is a beautiful night and I wouldn't have wanted to spend it anywhere else in the world except for right here at the house with my two boys!  They are the air I breath :) I am so blessed by the Grace of God!
